Editor's Overview

KC3ICT Ham Study is a science & education application developed by KC3ICT, packaged as a single Android APK of version 1.0 weighing in at 6.39 MB. The package targets Android 4.1+ and above. Below you'll find the publisher's own description, a quick spec sheet, and a short buyer-beware checklist so you know exactly what you're installing before tapping download.

Install Checklist

  1. Only download through the button on this page — never from third-party mirrors or shortened links, which are the most common way malware spreads.
  2. File size is a light 6.39 MB, so it installs quickly even on modest connections.
  3. This build is signed by "KC3ICT" — always verify the developer name matches what's listed on the app's official store page before installing an update.
  4. After install, Android may prompt you to allow "Install from unknown sources" — approve only this one install, then revoke the permission in Settings > Apps > Special access.
  5. We link directly to the APK file or the publisher's repository; we do not modify the binary. Always run a virus scan after any sideloaded install.

About this app

Study for all three FCC amateur radio license exams — completely offline,
with zero permissions and no account.

All three current NCVEC question pools are bundled in the app:

• Technician (Element 2), 2026–2030 pool — 409 questions
• General (Element 3), 2023–2027 pool — 423 questions
• Amateur Extra (Element 4), 2024–2028 pool — 599 questions

All pools include every official NCVEC errata (withdrawn questions removed,
modified wording applied), and every answer key has been verified against
the official pool documents. Schematic and chart figures are included.

Features:

• Flashcard mode — tap to flip, shuffled, flag tricky questions
• Practice exams built the way real VE sessions build them: one random
question from each NCVEC question group (35/35/50 questions, 74% to pass)
• Topic quizzes and flashcards filtered by subelement (T1A, G9D, E0A, …)
• Wrong-answer review pool that shrinks as you improve
• Progress saved on your device, with export/import to move between
devices — including the companion website at hamstudy.neyhard.com

Privacy: the app requests no permissions at all — not even network access.
Everything runs from files inside the APK, and your study progress never
leaves your device unless you export it yourself.

Question pools are public domain, released by the NCVEC Question Pool
Committee. This app is not affiliated with the ARRL, NCVEC, or FCC.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is KC3ICT Ham Study free to download?
Yes. The APK file linked from this page is free. The developer may offer in-app purchases once installed, but obtaining the installer itself costs nothing.

What Android version does KC3ICT Ham Study require?
Android 4.1+ or newer. Installing on older devices may cause crashes or refuse to install.

Is KC3ICT Ham Study safe to install?
We link to the exact APK published by KC3ICT. We do not modify the file. Still, as with any sideloaded app, scan it with a reputable antivirus before opening it, and only grant permissions the app genuinely needs.

How do I update KC3ICT Ham Study?
Install the newer version on top of the old one — Android will keep your data. If the signature differs, uninstall first (you may lose local progress).

Why is the app not installing?
Common causes: not enough storage, an older Android version than 4.1+, or a conflicting build already installed. Free up space, check your OS version, and uninstall any previous copy before retrying.
